HANDS ON CLASS – 101 INTRO TO REBUILDING (AT AAMCO UNIVERSITY)

– An Entry-Level Transmission Rebuilder HANDS-ON training designed only for A and B-level Technicians that have a good understanding and experience of automotive systems, scanners, and tools, but do not have the experience of rebuilding transmissions.
This 4-day class will include both classroom and hands-on training and exercises using the most popular 4L60E transmission.
The class will include:
• Theory of operation
• Root Cause Analysis and Directed Diagnostic Process for a successful repair
• Disassembly and inspection of worn and damaged parts
• Specifications, measurements, and preparation for the rebuild
• Actual rebuild with new rebuild kits, seals, pistons, bushings, and replacement hard parts
• Reaming and fitting of aftermarket repair products
• Valvebody inspection and pressure testing with repair products installed
• Step-by-step reassembly with the grading of results
• Installation and preparation of rebuilt units in test chassis
• Pressure testing, flow analysis, and shift results graded.
